Streaming fun!

I love You Tube! I found this great library workout there. Great fun to have on line!! You can find just about anything! Fancast gives you shows you missed! I found Friday Night Lights, a show that I loved which isn't being aired anylonger. And Hulu gives you full movies??? Too cool! Although, it only carries certain movies. I wasn't able to find O, Brother Where Art Thou on this site, but I did find it on Fancast. I think Fancast is better, they are all pretty amazing!

Social Networking

Well, I have been working with these sort of sites for a few years. I joined Eons even though this old dog is too young for that site. Heh heh!! I tried to browse for a friend on Eons but there isn't too many people in the area. It isn't as easy to use as myspace and facebook. On Facebook there is a group called "Access to Research Now!" which could be very useful to many people. In searching Sno Isle Libraries on myspace Ryan's name came up on the second page, along with many other people who mention our site on their page. Guess I need to add our library to mine! A few years ago I created a page for local people to meet and we have had some fun with the new friends I made there. Take a look:
http://www.myspace.com/localchildrenofthe60s70s So many people are afraid of these sort of sites because of the bad people they might find on there, but being someone who has been on myspace for a few years now I can safely say that I have never had a bad experience from it, only good!

Music sites

This was my favorite exercise so far. I have already been using Pandora's website and I was happy to learn about a more programable site. At Pandora's you are dished out the music based on the genre of the artist or song you entered and sometimes you're stuck listening to music you don't really want to hear, however, you do learn new music that way. I really like Finetune because you choose the music.

RSS feeds

Hmmm, sounds interesting. Looks like it will just take some getting used to. A little more use and habits will be created. Although, I feel guilty spending so much time on something that feels like play during work hours. :)
